What Can You Do With Hypnosis?

What exactly can you do with hypnosis?

In this post, we’re going to answer one of the most common questions we get about hypnosis: What can you do with it? What’s possible with this tool?

The answer to that question is very personal because people come to hypnosis for many different reasons. Some deal with daily anxiety, others feel depressed, and some just want to start or stop a habit. Others aim to achieve a personal development goal.

For example, Olympic athletes often use self-hypnosis to reach their athletic goals. But I think the best way to understand the power of hypnosis is to share some stories from the people we've worked with, starting with my own story.

My Personal Journey with Hypnosis

When I first heard about hypnosis, I thought it was complete nonsense. As a pretty analytical person, I was skeptical and thought it was just a placebo or social pressure. But I was curious enough, and had friends who had tried it, so I decided to give it a shot.

When I went into hypnosis, I wanted to work on my negative self-talk. I had a voice in my head that constantly attacked me, calling me an idiot and making me feel incredibly depressed for hours or even days. This had been a problem since I was a teenager, and I thought it was a permanent part of my personality.

After just one hypnosis session, that negative self-talk and depressive mood cycles completely disappeared and have never come back. The impact on my marriage, my relationship with my kids, and my relationship with myself has been incredible. Hypnosis changed every part of my life in a very real, tangible way.

Stories from Our Clients

But my story is just one example. We've helped many people at Better Questions use hypnosis to achieve their goals and overcome obstacles.

One client had a pervasive sense of depression due to childhood trauma. After working together in hypnosis, she had the most productive year of her life, got her dream job, improved her relationships, and saw her musical career take off. It was a complete transformation.

Another client came to us because she had just had a child and was afraid she would be a bad mother. She had fantasies of leaving her family because she thought she would make things worse if she stayed. After hypnosis, that fear went away. She re-engaged with her child, enjoyed being a mother, and became more resilient in the face of other stressful situations.

One more client passionately wanted to write every day but struggled with motivation and distractions. After our sessions, they developed a writing habit of one hour every day, which they have maintained ever since.

Another client worked from home but found himself distracted by his phone, which hurt his productivity. Through hypnosis, we cut his screen time by more than half, making him more productive than he had been in years.

The Broader Impact of Hypnosis

These are just a few of our success stories. Clinical research on hypnosis shows it can effectively address a wide variety of problems and help people achieve their goals. It’s an extremely low-risk intervention that everyone should be able to use in their daily lives.

At Better Questions, our mission is not just to help you use hypnosis to overcome your current challenges or achieve your goals, but to teach you how to use this tool for any situation you might encounter in life.

I'm excited for you to experience the benefits of hypnosis and can’t wait to see what you do with this powerful tool.
